The Most Useful Things I Have Learnt In Module 1

The Web siteTHE WEBSITE: Being introduced to the mysteries of the website was the most useful thing that I have learnt so far in T171. That is not to say that I have achieved full enlightenment yet, but I have gained sufficient of insight into it's mysteries to try and overcome those difficulties that continue to torment me.

Learning to learn

LEARNING TO LEARN: What on ingenious device by the Open University for getting us to do all the hard work. Admittedly learning all about the computer is a formidable task, but the finest way fostered by our elders and betters was to "learn by your mistakes" and there is plenty of scope for that. The OU has dug the holes and we fall in.

Looking forwardLOOKING FORWARD: What do we have to look forward to in the rest of the course? I hope to learn more of how Bill Gates made his billions, (how times change - millions used to be the norm once for the wealthy) and the technical wizardry involved. The twin requirements of technical achievement and business acumen. Maybe John Prescott's transport plans could apply something from 'bus' design. However, it is an intriguing and above all unique industry which will reward further study.
