The boring background...
Well I was born in Hammersmith in London in 197*!
I have an older sister and 3 half sisters who are younger than me.

I lived in Fulham for most of my childhood although I moved to Acton for a while to live with my dad.
I have to mention that we were on the second floor of a very famous tower block.. the one they call Nelson Mandela House in the 'Only Fools and Horses' series! It was actually called Beaumaris Towers in real life and I'd often see the film crew along with the familiar yellow van outside! Never saw Del or Rodders though.

Me!

.NET Mag
My favourite magazine! Loads of free software and shareware on the site to download plus tutorials.

BBC Online
The impressive amount of content on this site is excellent. Everything you can think of to do with the BBC can be found here.

One other thing was that the guitarist from UB40 lived in the flat above us and I remember being kept awake by the sound of Reggae being played!
Anyway, I've also lived in other parts of London including Chelsea and Earl's Court. Moved to Kent when I was about 16 then moved back to London at 18.
Schools I attended: All Saints Primary School in Fulham, Holland Park Comprehensive in Kensington, Upbury Manor Secondary in Kent.
Left school without taking any exams so attended the 'Mid Kent college of Higher and Further Education'.

Work: First job at 16 was in a supermarket. Lasted about 2 months.
Then worked as an office junior at a building contractors for a measley £50 a week!
Worked in restaurants, a TV/Hi-Fi shop.
Then I got a job in a gentleman's club in Belgravia (near Hyde Park) called The Caledonian Club. I really enjoyed it there and stayed for about 1 and a half years. It was where I met my husband (who's now my ex hubby). He was a chef and I was a waitress. We married while we both worked there and the day I left was the day that I gave birth to my son, Mikey.
We moved to Bury St Edmunds about 4 months later to stay with friends then rented a flat.
We then had a daughter and then moved to a small village in Suffolk. We divorced in 1997 after a mutual decision to separate and we get on fine now!
My son is now 13 and daughter is 11. Both are bright happy kids who are doing very well at school.

I'm really waffling on!

Now...
Once my children were both at school, in 2000 I decided to take a course with the OU. I couldn't wait to get back to work but didn't want the sort of jobs I did before.
The course I did was called 'You, your computer and the net'. I knew nothing about computers before the course but am now a confident user (addict!). In 2001 I completed another course covering object-oriented programming and I got a distinction. I've had to take some time off because of work commitments but I'm still hoping to get a degree in IT and Computing.

I also started a web design business, but don't do much of this now as 4 of us started a software company (not there are just two of us but with office and telesales staff) that produces estimating software for the construction industry and have sales agents that market and sell it all over the UK and Ireland.

No1 on the day you were born.
What was at No.1 in the music charts? Mine was "I'd like to teach the world to sing" by The New Seekers.
